wonderful experience to enjoy. With stunning sun sets, exquisite fresh water lakes and delightful natural country air, cycling in the Kawarthas is our way to wind down from a stressful day.

What we really like about cycling in the Kawarthas is the variety of different area's to ride.

For an easy relaxing evening ride, we'd drive to the flatter farm land areas between Cambray and Kirkfield and enjoy the magnificent country side.

Sometimes when we are up for a climbing challenge, we head for the hills on Ski Hill road from Omemee to Bethany and finish off with a climb up Mount Horeb road.

If you plan to cycle in the Kawarthas, just be aware that the Kawarthas is cottage country and several roads are busy during the high season especially from Friday to Sunday. At these busy times try to cycle on the back roads to protect yourself from drivers who are not use to sharing the road.

For a few years now, we have been members of the Kawartha Cycling Club. Click here to learn more about this volunteer based organization and the benefits it can give when you plan to go for a bike ride in the Kawarthas.
