We are amateurs when it comes to Kawartha Lakes hunting. We do watch and respect the tradition of all the hunters in this area. After picking up the 2010 Hunting Regulations summary book at Mark's Worm Warehouse on the way to Bobcaygeon and learning more about the hunting rules and regulations, we appreciate more the sport of the hunt in the Kawartha Lakes.

According to the National Wild Turkey Federation, an estimation of 70.000 to 100.000 Wid Turkeys are running wild in southern Ontario and the City of the Kawartha Lakes has plenty for everyone. We see many Wild Turkeys on the road around the wooded areas as we drive through the country side between Omemee and Bobcaygeon. Watch you don't run over them.
