Our Kawartha story began over 43 years ago.
Our family has been summer vacationing at our grandparents cottage just north of Bobcaygeon at a place called "Nichols Cove." About 11 years ago, our parents built their permanent retirement home where the old marina use to be. We have always loved visiting the Kawarthas, so we decided to move to Omemee after living for some years in Holland.
We have grown to love living in this area because of the beautiful country side, the fresh water lakes and the quaint little villages that are spread throughout the Kawarthas. Over time we have come to learn that each town has their unique history, special character and fascinating people.
We put this site together as an informal way of bringing people together of the Kawarthas. We try to continuously gather information, events, history and personal stories of the people of the Kawarthas.
