The town of Omemee is so small that we seem to always drive through it without taking notice of it.

When we actually stop the car and visit the little village, it does have all the necessary needs of our daily life. It does have a bank, a post office, a liquor store, a hardware store, a grocery store, and a variety store and it has the best pizza place in the Kawarthas.

One of the newest additions to the town is the Niel Young (youngstown museum). We haven't been in there yet, but it is there.

Just off the highway in behind the stores are quiet streets that lead to a peaceful park situated on Pigeon Lake.

Us locals can take the second bridge to drive over the river to our wonderful brand new doctors office.

Even though the tourists have gone for the winter, there is still traffic jammed at the traffice lights in the mornings and afternoons.
