in the Kawarthas the most attractive. We drive around and over the lakes, through the beautiful countryside to go shopping, work or visit friends and family. We are amazed at how many lakes are considered part of the Kawarthas.

Within the central region of the Kawarthas, stretches the famous Trent Canal. This continuous waterway winds diagonally from Trenton on Lake Ontario to Port Severn on Georgian Bay. The Trent Canal system runs through all these Lakes except the ones with an asterisk.
