"A fishing licence is now
required to fish in the Kawartha Lakes."

We advise you to get a fishing licence. It is required by all Canadian residents between the ages of 18 through 65 to fish on any lake in Ontario including the Kawartha Lakes region. An Outdoors Card plus a fishing-licence-tag is required to be with you at all times while fishing. We'd hate for you to be caught by the water patrol police without one.

If you do not or never had an Outdoors Card, you can request an application form to be mailed to you by phoning the Outdoors Card Centre from anywhere in Canada at 1-800-387-7011. Your Outdoors card is good for three calendar years.
