below from a helicopter ride.
The video to the right shows the helicopter arriving from Lindsay and landing in Nichols Cove.
Our long time family friend Jack Verduyn and his wife Marlene came for a visit on the lake via their helicopter. The following morning Jack took us for a ride.
Inside the Helicopter
No time could be waisted in making a desicion to fly, the clowds were starting to roll in. Jack checked the controls, the exterior and the propellers for our safety, and a half hour later we were ready for take-off.
In no time after take off, the clowds rolled in over Pigeon Lake and within 5 minutes rain splattered the wind sheild.

Over looking Kawartha Lake cotteges
All we could see was water weaving between all the trees. It was hard to make out what lake was what. As we passed over Oak shores Marina and started to head back we had to find our landing pad in the back yard amoungst all the trees you'll see below.
Thanks to the Bobcaygeon water tower, we knew we were headed in the right direction. We flew over Big Bald lake to Little Bald lake, then down the straights to Pigeon Lake. Within minutes our landing pad was in view.
