Beverley & Paul Williams are participating in CULTURE DAYS again this year on SEPT 28-30.

They will be opening their studio and SECRET GARDEN for anyone to come and take a tour to see 12 different water features, fountains and garden art created by Paul.

Bring the kids and count the many frogs who have made our ponds their home this summer. And try to see the tiny black baby fish among the big gold fish too.

Beverley will be giving a hands-on demonstration of HOW TO WORK WITH HARD-SHELLED GOURDS and you can try your hand for FREE. She will be using a wood burning tool to draw fines burnt lines on the gourds.

In the studio you will see local artists work in jewellery, steel art, pottery as well as a display of WALTER & PEGGY CRACKNELL'S FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHY until Christmas. 705-277-2666

(1470 Hwy 7A, Bethany, Ontario)

On Mother's Day weekend annually the artists in Cavan, Bethany, Omemee and Pontypool open their studios for you to come in and talk to them about their art and crafts.

Each year is a bit different, but there are at least 10 studios and 12-15 artists showing their artwork.

You can see pottery, jewellery, wild life paintings, multi-media art, paintings on feathers, Intarsia, wood carvings, soap stone carving, photography, herbal products leather sculpture and decorated gourds.

Visit a studio in a little barn with real horses that the artist herself uses as her inspiration.

Take a tour of the SECRET GARDEN that has 12 different water features and garden art and count the fish, frogs and hidden fairies among the flowers.

There are great places to eat and to get gas for the car along the way.

Final rehersal before The Living Christmas Tree Contata

For over 30 years, St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Lindsay has held different Christmas cantatas and called it the Living Christmas Tree.

The actual 15 metre high tree structure stands in the sanctuary and is made out of wood, artificial greenery and 10,000 light bulbs. It holds up to 60 singers from nine years to over eighty years of age.

Starting at the beginning of October, talented volunteer singers from different congregations and locations practice together at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Lindsay, Ontario.

The Christmas cantatas are held at the end of November and the beginning of December. Tickets for this cantata are FREE and a special day is picked for people to pick them up.

The Living Christmas Tree is a fundraiser via free will offering. The money raised at The Living Christmas Tree is divided to many charity organizations within the Lindsay community.
