A tee-pee on an island in the Kawartha Lakes

I spent a day tobogganing over frozen ice.
The ice was so flat and smooth that I'd slide way across the middle of the lake.
After I got tired running up the hill, my aunt pushed me around on the sleigh. After she got tired, my dad and uncle gave my brother and I a ride across to the island with an Indian T-pee on it.

This summer we (a family from Holland) were on Pigeon Lake as guests from friends. We did a lot of activities on the lake. Then there came a thunderstorm. When the rain was over we went back on the water. We made the most beautiful pictures! We enjoyed our stay in the Kawartha Lakes and we hope that we will be back some day.

I took a sequence of "lucky" digital images of a Great Blue Heron at the Hawk Lake log chute (east of Hwy 35 north of Carnarvon) on a beautiful October day.

Thanks to the Academy Theatre for allowing me the opportunity to shoot the interior of the Theatre. My friend was on stage when I started the 30 second exposure, but left after about 10 seconds. The long exposure resulted in this eerie photo.

Skating on Nichol's Cove in the Kawarthas

In the winter time I make a skating rink with my snow blower for my family to ice skate on.

One time the rain melted all the snow away and created one huge skating rink. Pigeon Lake was so smooth that we could skate right across and around it. It was like having our own enormous skating rink all to ourselves.
